IGP Deploys Special Forces to uphold peace in Oyo after the Yorubas and hausas clash
 



The Inspector General of Police, M.A Adamu, has ordered the Nigerian Special forces Police to Oyo state to intervene and stabilise the bloodly fight between the Yorubas resided in oyo and Hausas that claimed many lives.



It’s reported that the fights started in Shasha market, Ibadan between the Yoruba and Hausa communities following an unknown disagreement between members of both tribes, leading to the death of many people.


In a statement released by Police force spokesperson, Frank Mba, IGP Adamu charged the Intervention Force with the responsibility of reinforcing, stabilizing security and protect lives and properties in the state.

The IGP assures that the Force is committed to restoring safety in the state and protecting of lives and properties of the citizens in the country.


He also calls on the citizens and residents of Oyo State to embrace peace and cooperate with the Police and the security community as they ensure that peace and security are restored to the affected areas.
