Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari, has disagreed with Katsina State Governor, Bello Masari, over the number of students kidnapped from a Government Science Secondary School in Katsina State.
It was reported that Masari, kastina state governor said on Saturday that the children so far kidnapped cut across the state because of the boarding school houses all children from all parts of the state and some even from outside the state.
He said this while briefing a Federal Government delegation which is led by Minister of Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Magashi.
He further explained that its security agencies are yet to account for 333 students as some of the students are escaping from the forest.
However, news have reach out from the BBC Hausa Bulletin on Sunday in contrary to the governor’s report as it’s said that only ten boys are with the bandits.
In the latest report, the president Spokesman, Mallam Garba Shehu told the BBC that only ten children were remaining with the kidnappers according to their colleagues who escaped from the gunmen.
“The number is below figures released by school authorities at the beginning and the school children who escaped said 10 of their friends were still with their abductors.”
