The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority has announced there might be merging of airlines in the aviation sector due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has affected the sector.
The Director-General Capt. Musa Nuhu, made this statement during a programme on NTA while analysing the impact of pandemic on the industry.
During his interview he said some airlines may not survive in the aviation sector due to the COVID-19 situation, and the Airline operators are working on something to help the industry grow during this hard time.
He also added that the increases in airfares is as a result of financial distress, they do aircrafts maintenance out of the country which will cost a lot and needed money for that service.
