Bandits attacks polling unit In Zamfara to disrupt By-Election

Bandits have been reported to interfer and disturbed the voting process during the by-electon in Oroji village, Bakura local government area of Zamfara state on Saturday.

It was reported at about 8:30 am when election officials arrived at the polling unit for voting process to commence, a group of armed men suddenly approach from no where and everyone flee from the premises for safety


However, security operatives including police and soldiers arrived at the scene quickly and they successfully force out the criminals and voting has since started.

Meanwhile, trouble started when PDP zonal vice chairwoman Hajiya A’i Maradun , ex-commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Muttaka Rini and the state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Alhaji Yahaya Chado Gora, and the state visited the polling unit.
