EFCC insists court to cancel bail grant on Femi Fani-Kayode’s case

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), on Wednesday, have approach the Federal High Court in Abuja, to cancel the bail granted to Femi Fani-Kayode.

The EFCC’s lawyer, Mohammed Abubakar, who have pleaded to John Tsoho to grant his plea, said Fani-Kayode had been absent in court for his trial lately, he urges the court to summon his surety to show up cause the bail bond should not be forfeited.

However, the defence counsel, Wale Balogun, had insist the court to dismiss the EFCC’s application.

The ex-minister of Aviation was admitted to pay N50million bail with a surety in the like sum which he diverted N26 million he received from the embattled National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki, during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s regime.
