Ibrahimovic gives hint on returning for international career

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in talks with Sweden head coach Janne Andersson about a possible return to the national team.

The 39-year-old, who retired from international football after the 2016 World Cup, hinted that he will like to play for his country once again.

Zlatan has been on impressive recent form for AC Milan, leading the seria A goal scorers with 10 goals so far this season, more than half Milan’s goals tally of 19.

The Swedish FA said that the sweden coach has travelled on Wednesday evening to discuss with Ibrahimovic about his hint of return.

He said, “When Zlatan opened the door to play for the national team it seems important to meet with him and discuss it as soon as possible.”

Ibrahimovic has expressed his desire to play for his National team once again on Wednesday after emerging as the Sweden’s Footballer of the Year award winner for the 12th time.

He has admitted that “it’s no secret”, he misses playing for his national team.

“The one who doesn’t miss it has already finished his career. And I have not finished mine.” He said

Earlier this month he posted an old photo of himself on instagram on Sweden shirt and with the phrase “Long time no see,” which seems to be a huge hint for his return

However Ibrahimovic have scored 62 goals in his 116 internationals appearance for Sweden.
