NYSC members in Bauchi camp test positive for coronavirus

Some members National Youth Service Corps who are undergoing orientation exercise at the Wailo camp in the Ganjuwa Local Government, Bauchi State have been tested positive for COVID-19.

This was released in a statement signed by the Information Officer, Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency, Ibrahim Sani.

According to Sani, the infection rate has risen in some part of the state and inside the wailo NYSC camp, 8 corps members were said to have contacted the virus, and to curb the spread of the virus, surveillance team are sent to carry out test and investigate all corps members in the camp with a holding room allocated by the disease control director.


Sani also said that 18 deaths had been recorded out of the 47 confirmed cases of Lassa fever in the state this year, and two more people died of suspected yellow fever, putting the number of yellow fever death count on 10.
