Senator Abaribe has made a claim that the only person from the south-east region in the Aso Villa is a photographer, said this on a TV programme, Sunrise Daily on Friday.

During the programme, he said it’ll be hard for any igbo person to take over the presidential post in 2023.

Recently, governor of Ebonyi state, moved from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) as a result of “injustice.”

Abaribe who is a member of PDP, also talk about the governor of Ebonyi state, David Umahi, who recently announced himself as a new All Progressive Congress (APC) member, he said the governor defection is merely an occurrence and will be examined properly during the next presidential election.

They are Francis Anatogu, senior special assistant (SSA) to the president (public sector matters); Nneka Ikejiani, senior technical assistant to the president (delivery unit); Somkele Awa- Kalu, special assistant to the president (research); Tochi Nwachukwu, special assistant to the president (power privitisation) and Nkechi Chukwueke, special assistant to the president (community engagement).

He said the name of the person close to Aso villa is Sunday Aghaeze, better known as Sunny,  and he’s the state photographer who is from Delta state which falls under the south-south zone.

Abaribe conlcuded that there is no proper person from the south-east in the presidential villa to help the southern states.

“we had chances which we do not have that anymore. Of course, you can see low-level people being appointed, but what do they do that can make a difference in our lives in the south-east?” he said.
