South African protest against racism in cape town

South African police fired teargas at protesters against racism at a Cape Town school where a whites-only year dance party was organised.

Anti-riot police aimed teargas and water cannon towards members of the radical leftist Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) party who’ve gathered near the school to protest on Friday.

Few days after the party, the EFF members tried going inside the school but were hindered by some of the students’ parents which escalated into fist fights.

The clashes occurred a few weeks after similar protests occur in the central farming town of Senekal over the murder of a white farm manager by suspected black attackers.
