Oleksandr Zinchenko hit back against death threats from Ukraine supporters after losing to Germany.

Ukraine are currently at the edge of relegation in the UEFA Nations League as the team woe increases after a 3-1 defeat against Germany, with Zinchenko at fault for Germany first goal.

The City defender lost the ball possession to Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka, who passed the ball to Leroy Sane to equal the score with Ukraine after Roman Yaremchuk gave Ukraine the leading goal.

Zinchenko has since revealed that he was subjected to critics and abuses online following his mistake, and that he and his family had been subjected to death threats.

“Reading all the dirt that poured on me and my family after yesterday’s game, has convinced me the kind of people we have and how they can support,”
He wrote on his official Instagram account.

He also call for the rest fans to stay with the team and believe they’ll bounce back.

Ukraine are currently third in Group 4, and can survive relegation if they are able to defeat Switzerland on Tuesday, while they could be second in the group if Germany beat Spain in their next encounter.
