The Nigerian Army is preparing to launch ‘Exercise Crocodile Smile VI’, in southeast. Aliyu Yusuf, the spokesman of the 82 Division, Enugu said this on Tuesday.
Aliyu said the army command had plans for an inter-agency training workshop to prepare for the operations. Which will commence between 18th and 19th of November respectively at the division’s headquarters.
“The workshop is said boost the existing cooperation within the various security agencies operating under the Division Area of Responsibility,’’ he stated.
The workshop is open to all security outfits and formations within the division’s AOR.
In the past, “Operation Crocodile Smile” has been heavily criticised from Nigerians. Many complain that the army uses the operation to harass and extort motorists.
