Scientists in Italy say chili peppers can reduce the rate from heart attack and cerebrovascular disease which deprives blood flow to the brain and could also leads to strokes and aneurysms
Research have included 22,811 Italian citizens don’t joke with their chili pepper intake. And it’s stated in a study that, people who consumed the spice at least four times a week reduced the risk of dying from heart attack and from cerebrovascular diseases.
Study author Marialaura Bonaccio, PhD, of IRCCS Neuromed Mediterranean Neurological Institute in Pozzilli, Italy, say that consuming chili peppers can only prevents the risk of fatality, But won’t prevent heart attack from happening.
“But we know the results are independent of diet quality, even if you don’t always adhere to the Mediterranean diet, the chili peppers will still have an effect.”
Chili peppers get their heat from capsaicin, which is said to be associated with the reduction of cholesterol in the body, and when consumed with ginger, it may lower the risk of cancer.
